Joe Mulcahy is a retired general surgeon with 38 years of experience in the medical field. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Louis University. Dr. Mulcahy served in the U.S. Navy as a reservist from 1980 to 1989 and on active duty from 1989 to 1993, resigning his commission as a Lieutenant Commander. He was affiliated with Island Hospital and Skagit Valley Hospital during his career. His experience includes being a medical officer on the first flotilla in a Russian port and caring for refinery explosion victims in Anacortes.
