Joe Seiwert is an incumbent Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 101st district since January 2009. Born on August 21, 1951, in Pretty Prairie, Kansas, he is 74 years old. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Friends University and also attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is married and has three children. Politically, he maintains a conservative record, evidenced by a 77% lifetime evaluation from the American Conservative Union in 2017. In 2022, he garnered attention for promoting the 'litter boxes in schools hoax' during a public forum. He is currently seeking re-election for the Kansas House of Representatives, District 101.
