Joe Van is the current president of the Highline School Board, representing District 3. A 1995 graduate of Tyee High School, he holds a degree in Administration of Justice from Highline College and is a graduate of the Des Moines Police Reserves Academy. He is employed as a distribution center and project manager at Banner Solutions. Van was first appointed to the board in 2015. His parents came to the U.S. from Vietnam, and he speaks fluent Vietnamese.
