John C. Spruill

John C. Spruill is a lifelong resident of eastern North Carolina, raised in Roper. He has served as a Washington County Commissioner and has been a member of the volunteer fire department for 33 years, recently serving as fire chief. Spruill holds degrees in criminal justice and construction management from East Carolina University and works as a chief estimator for a site work company, holding a general contractor's license. He describes himself as a public servant, small business owner, and community advocate with decades of experience in both public service and private industry. He and his wife, Terri, have raised their family in the district.
