Born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts, John J. Lawn Jr. graduated from Merrimack College in 1991. He has represented the 10th Middlesex District — parts of Newton, Waltham, and Watertown — in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2011 and serves as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing. He previously served on the Watertown Town Council and worked as a real estate broker. He is married to Shannon and has five children.
