John Lemondes Jr. is an American politician, businessman, and retired U.S. Army Colonel serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 126th district since 2021. During his 27-year military career, he completed multiple overseas deployments, including to Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the military, he and his family began operating a diversified livestock farm in LaFayette, New York. Lemondes holds a bachelor's degree from Penn State and master's degrees from Syracuse University.
