John Perry has served as the Mayor of Everson since 2010 and has been a member of the city council since 2004. In addition to his public service, he is a commercial and residential builder. Perry has been a key figure in leading the community through crises, including the significant flooding events of November 2021, where he organized disaster relief and response efforts. In March 2025, he is slated to receive the Public Service Award from the Whatcom Business Alliance for his contributions.
