John R. Roth is an American politician serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from the 104th district. A Republican, he was first elected in 2020 and assumed office in 2021. Roth earned an associate's degree in marina management from Northwestern Michigan College. Before his election, he worked as a harbor master and in lawn and ski area maintenance. He also served as the chair of the Grand Traverse County Republican Party and on the county Parks and Recreation Commission.
