John Steckler is a 23-year resident of Mill Creek. He had a career in sales, marketing, and operations and now works as a freelance consultant in strategic planning and marketing. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. Steckler was first appointed to the council in 2018 to fill a vacancy and was subsequently elected in 2019. He has been an active community volunteer in local schools, scouting organizations, the Rotary Club, and the Kiwanis Club of Mill Creek.
