John Whitney has a background in the home-building and real estate industries. He earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver. His career began at Richmond American Homes, and he later led sales and marketing at Polygon Homes before joining Conner Homes. He has stated he has never held elected office before. For over 25 years, he has been involved in his community by teaching youth and adult Bible studies, coaching soccer, and volunteering as a mountain biking instructor.
