Jolene Ivey is an American Democratic politician serving as an at-large member of the Prince George's County Council since 2024. She previously represented the council's 5th district from 2018 to 2024, a tenure which included serving as council president from 2023 to 2024. Prior to her county-level roles, Ivey was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for the 47th district from 2007 to 2015. Her earlier career in media and communications included work as a television co-host, writer, producer, and as a press secretary for U.S. Representative Ben Cardin. Ivey holds a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Towson University and a master's in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
