Jon Mutchler

Jon Mutchler has a long history of public service in Ferndale, having served as a three-term city council member and as mayor from 2016 to 2019. He is also a graduate of Western Washington University with a degree in piano performance and jazz studies, and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Regent College. Mutchler and his wife, Diane, have lived in Whatcom County since 1980, where they raised their seven children. In addition to his political career, he is a longtime pastor and piano teacher. He has been actively involved in the community, including volunteering with Whatcom-Skagit Housing to help families build their first homes.
