Jonathan Almond was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and grew up in Union County, graduating from Piedmont High School. He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance. Since 2016, he has been the Controller of a management group that operates a barbecue franchise. He won the election for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 73 on November 5, 2024, and assumed office on January 1, 2025.
