He was appointed to the Sylva Town Board of Commissioners in May 2024 to fill a vacant seat following the resignation of a previous commissioner. He has been a resident of Sylva on and off for about 20 years and has leadership experience in various settings, including church, healthcare, and volunteer work. This is his first time running for elective office.
