Jon Carroll, a lifelong Memphian and University of Memphis graduate, has resided in the Normal Station neighborhood since 1995. With his wife Pam, he raised their son in the University District, a graduate of MSCS Middle College High School. Carroll's extensive education advocacy experience includes three years as PTSA president and statewide Legislative Affairs and Resolutions Chair for the Tennessee PTA. He is running for the Memphis-Shelby County Schools school board, District 9. His platform emphasizes serving Memphis's parents and children, ensuring high-quality education for all District 9 students via a collaborative school board, and fostering Memphis as an economic and innovation leader seeking positive change.
