Jonathan Lindsey is an incumbent Republican member of the Michigan State Senate representing District 17, having assumed office in 2023. Raised in Branch County, Michigan, Lindsey graduated from Bronson High School and earned a B.A. in political science from Yale University. He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces as a Green Beret, completing three combat deployments and earning a Bronze Star. After his military service, he worked as a communications executive before his election to the Senate.
