Jonathan Sickler

Jonathan Sickler, a Republican from Grand Forks, is an incumbent member of the North Dakota State Senate, representing District 17 since 2022. A lawyer by profession and chief legal officer at a Grand Forks firm, he holds degrees from UND and Harvard Law. Sickler is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary, with his current term ending in December 2026. He focuses on policies that diversify the economy, enhance quality of life, and responsibly use state resources. He has chaired the Higher Education Institutions Committee and worked to ensure affordable higher education, also sponsoring legislation to improve justice systems. He and his wife have three children.
