Jordan J.G. Wright is the incumbent Assemblyman for New York's 70th District in Harlem. A lifelong resident of Central Harlem, he graduated from Syracuse University in 2017 with a degree in psychology. Prior to his election, he worked as an educator, served on his local community board, and was the Chief of Staff for New York City Council Member Yusef Salaam. He is the son of former Assemblyman and current Manhattan Democratic Party chairman Keith L.T. Wright and the grandson of former New York Supreme Court Judge Bruce Wright. He assumed office on January 1, 2025.
