Jordan Ophus, a 31-year-old native of Havre, Montana, is running in the Libertarian Party primary for the Montana House of Representatives District 27 in 2026. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served from 2012 to 2021, Ophus is currently a student at Montana State University Northern. He is dedicated to a life of service and believes public office should be non-partisan. He has expressed that he does not seek power or view office as a means for grander ambitions, and is unwilling to accept campaign donations from corporate PACs, stating his lack of ambition is a chief qualification.
