Josh Fryday is an attorney, U.S. Navy JAG Corps veteran, and the Chief Service Officer of California, serving in Governor Gavin Newsom's cabinet. In this role, he leads the state's service and volunteer programs, including the California Climate Action Corps. He previously served as Mayor and City Councilmember for Novato, California, and was the President of Golden State Opportunity. Fryday earned his undergraduate and law degrees from UC Berkeley. He is a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of California.
