Josh Grasseth is a lifelong Cathlamet resident and a 1997 graduate of Wahkiakum High School. He began his law enforcement career as a reserve deputy in 2001 and became a full-time deputy in Wahkiakum County in 2003, where he served in various roles including school resource officer and K9 handler. He resigned in 2009 for personal reasons and subsequently served with the Lower Elwa Police Department before returning to Cathlamet. This is his second time running for Wahkiakum County Sheriff, having previously run in 2010.
