Josh Hebert, a 55-year-old Reno-born physicist and father of two, is seeking the Democratic nomination for Nevada's 2nd Congressional District in 2026. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's from San Francisco State University, with a background also in film production. Hebert feels compelled to run because he believes the system is broken and Americans are losing faith. His top priority is getting big money out of politics.
