Joshua Griffin

Joshua Griffin, a Republican, is a U.S. Army combat veteran who served roughly two decades in the military, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Following his military career, Griffin returned to Colorado, where he became recognized for his community and business involvement. He also holds the unique distinction of having been the oldest Division I player in college football. Griffin joined a crowded field of Republican candidates for Governor of Colorado in the 2026 election, seeking to succeed term-limited Gov. Jared Polis.
