Julie A. Ellsworth serves as Idaho's 24th State Treasurer, first elected in 2018 and currently seeking re-election for her second term. A Republican, she previously spent twelve years in the Idaho House of Representatives, including time as Republican Caucus Chair. As State Treasurer, Ellsworth successfully guided Idaho to achieve its first-ever AAA credit rating, implemented conservative investment strategies that generated over $566 million in interest earnings, and championed financial accountability. She also established ABLE accounts for individuals with disabilities and minted the Idaho Women's Veteran Medallion. Ellsworth's professional background includes work as a civil mediator, business consultant, and public school teacher. She promotes pro-family policies and manages her family's farm, and is a parent of three and a grandparent.
