Justin Lafferty is the incumbent Representative for Tennessee House District 89, first elected in 2018. A Republican, he currently serves as Chairman of the Government Operations Committee. A long-time Knoxville resident, he earned his Political Science degree from the University of Tennessee. After a career in sales, including as a traveling jewelry salesman, he started a small business and raised his daughter. He is running for reelection in the 2026 Primary, motivated by a desire to preserve liberty and freedom. Lafferty has supported measures like extending the veterans' homes board and eliminating fees for reclaiming seized property.
