Justin Leighton has lived in Tacoma for two decades and has a career in public service and policy. He has served as the Executive Director for the Washington State Transit Association since 2016 and previously worked as the Government Relations Officer at Pierce Transit from 2011 to 2015. He began his career as a teacher at Fife High School. Leighton holds a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College and degrees from Washington State University. In 2015, he served on Tacoma's Charter Review Commission.
