Dr. Kareem Moffett is a native of Cincinnati, a mother of three CPS graduates, and a grandmother to three current CPS students. She holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Education with research focused on Educating Urban African American Students, and a Certificate in Education Finance from Georgetown University. Her professional experience includes being a chemist, teaching math and science in CPS and at Cincinnati State, and serving as a nonprofit leader and consultant. She was elected to the board in 2021, with her current term ending on December 31, 2025, and she currently serves as the Board President for 2025.
