Karen Brohm has been a resident of West Hempstead for over 20 years. She and her husband have three children who attend or have graduated from West Hempstead schools. Brohm has a background in finance and accounting, holding a BBA from Hofstra University. She has been actively involved in the community, serving in various roles within the PTA, including treasurer positions at multiple schools and SEPTA, as well as involvement with the West Hempstead Community Support Association and the West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce. She was first elected to the Board of Education in 2023.
