Karen Camper

Karen Camper is an incumbent Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 87 in Memphis since 2008. She serves as the Democratic Leader and previously as Minority Caucus Treasurer. A retired Chief Warrant Officer from the U.S. Army and a business owner, she also worked as a substitute teacher. Camper holds an A.S. from the University of Albany-SUNY and is a Baptist. She is seeking re-election in the Democratic primary on August 6, 2026. Her legislative work includes committee assignments like Calendar and Rules, Commerce, and Finance, Ways, and Means.
