Prior to her career in tech, she graduated from Michigan State University's journalism program and worked as a newspaper reporter. She serves on the Executive Board of the 47th Legislative District Democrats and volunteers with the Auburn Noon Lions Club. She is running for re-election to City Council, Position 2.
