Kate Gallup

Kate Gallup has a background in education, engineering and public service. She centers care for our air, land and water and lowering costs by passing MICare so everyone has healthcare in Michigan. Kate wants to make Michigan have top rated public schools and ensure that all kids receive a good education, which starts by ensuring school funding to pay teachers living wages for their areas and reduce class sizes. Kate is also about government reform, which is why she collected signatures for the Michiganders for Money Out of Politics Ballot initiative, Rank MI Vote, and Invest in MI Kids. She is on hiatus from teaching high school math while running for office, but continues to sell her art and work part-time doing animal care. Prior positions include event coordination, patent examining, metallurgy research and small business administration.
