She also served as a judicial law clerk in Fairfax, Virginia, from 2012 to 2013. Since moving to Spokane, Telis has been a self-described "professional volunteer," working with organizations like the League of Women Voters and leading the Spokane chapter of Moms Demand Action. She has also been involved in several political campaigns for progressive candidates.
