CivorenKathy Castor is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 14th congressional district. First elected to Congress in 2006, she represents the Tampa Bay area. Born in Miami and raised in Tampa, Castor earned her bachelor's degree from Emory University and a J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law. Before her election to the U.S. House, she worked in public administration law and served as a member of the Hillsborough County Commission.
