Kathy Cater

Kathy Cater is a retired school administrator and former educator running for the non-partisan Commissioner District 6 seat on the Worcester County Board of Education in Maryland. A resident of Bishopville, Cater brings her professional educational experience to her campaign for the 2026 election. She entered the race following the sudden resignation of the previous district representative, aiming to bring stability and strict fiscal responsibility to the school system. Outside of her career, Cater is an active member of the Ocean City-Berlin Optimist Club, where she has served on the scholarship and essay contest committees to consistently support local students.
