Katie A. Perkins was appointed to the Kalama School Board for District 4 in October 2022 to fill a vacancy. She has lived in Kalama since 2014 and has two children attending schools in the district. Perkins attended Port Townsend High School and earned her GED at age 17, followed by some college classes. She is an active parent and community member. As of early 2025, she serves as the Kalama School Board President.
