Kavonte Duckett is a Democratic Vice-President of the Frederick County Council, representing District 4 in Maryland. A 7th-generation native of Frederick, he made history in November 2022 by becoming the first African American elected to the Frederick County Government. Duckett is a graduate of Tuscarora High School and Frederick Community College, where he served as President of the Student Government Association. His professional background includes serving as Director of Operations at the Rollins Life Celebration Center and as Director of the Alan P. Linton Jr. Emergency Shelter. He is active in numerous community organizations.
