Keith Huffman was born and raised in Morganton, NC, and graduated from Freedom High School in 1979. He joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. During his military service, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Colorado Christian University. He then worked for the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of HUD as a Management Analyst for 22 years before retiring. He has lived in Valdese for over seven years and serves on the Valdese Planning Board and the Firefighters' Relief Fund Board of Trustees.
