Kelly Boyer was appointed to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Gavin Newsom in December 2023. Prior to her appointment, she served as a Supervising Attorney at the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office starting in 2019, and held various roles in that office from 2008. She was an Associate at Carrick and Conrad from 2006 to 2007. Boyer earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School.
