Kelly M. Smith is a Democratic candidate for the Anne Arundel County Council, running to represent Councilmanic District 1 in Maryland. A U.S. Army veteran, Smith has over two decades of leadership experience, serving as a counterintelligence agent during Operation Iraqi Freedom and an intelligence research specialist during the January 6th crisis. As a former educator, she mentored underserved students. Active in her community, Smith represents District 32 on the Democratic Central Committee, has served with the Maryland Center on Economic Policy, and volunteers as a soccer coach. She is focused on safe neighborhoods and quality education.
