Kendra Penry is the Democratic candidate for Utah House of Representatives District 5, running in the 2026 general election. She currently serves as the executive director of the Stokes Nature Center in Logan, a position she has held since 2019. Penry earned a master’s degree in International Affairs from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Hollins University. Shaped by her upbringing in small, rural communities, she values hard work and aiding others, which led her to a career in the non-profit sector. Penry's campaign addresses increasing living costs, the loss of open spaces, and a desire for more responsive leadership, aiming to engage residents in conversations about the future of south Cache Valley. She advanced from the Democratic primary without appearing on the ballot.
