Kenya Wicks is an incumbent State Senator for Georgia's 34th District, representing portions of Clayton and Fayette counties. A retired US Army Major with 30 years of service, she was commissioned through Officer Candidate School. Before taking office, Wicks served as Chief of Staff for former Sen. Valencia Seay and was deeply involved in her community, vice chairing the Fayette County Democratic Committee and volunteering as a CASA. Sworn in on January 13, 2025, she serves on committees including Veterans, Military and Homeland Security, Science & Technology, Urban Affairs, Public Safety, and Government Oversight, and is Deputy Minority Whip. She is committed to championing her district's needs.
