Kevin H. Bean

Kevin Bean is a lifelong resident of Caldwell County, raised in Hudson, NC. He began his career in law enforcement in 2003 after the furniture industry declined, putting himself through Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) at night while working during the day. He started as a reserve deputy and has since held every ranking position in the patrol division of the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office. Prior to being sworn in as Sheriff on August 30, 2024, he served as Chief Deputy, overseeing the daily operations of the office. He was appointed to the Sheriff position following the retirement of Sheriff Alan Jones. He was named the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office Officer of the Year in 2014, 2016, and 2017.
