Kevin J. Lopez Cruz

Kevin J. Lopez Cruz is a Democratic candidate running for the Democratic Central Committee in Maryland's Legislative District 24. A resident of Lanham, Maryland, Lopez Cruz is an English major at Bowie State University with aspirations of becoming a professor. He is deeply invested in public education, the public humanities, and expanding civic learning for students. As an active public advocate, he submitted testimony to the Maryland General Assembly supporting legislation to strengthen civics and history education and excuse student absences for civic engagement. He brings a current student's perspective to local Prince George's County politics.
