Kevin Schilling is a fourth-generation Washingtonian who was born in Des Moines and grew up in Burien. He is a graduate of Washington State University and holds dual master's degrees from Columbia University and the London School of Economics, as well as a certificate from Harvard Kennedy School. His professional background includes serving as the Political Director for Congressman Derek Kilmer and as the Advocacy Director for the Washington State Dental Association. He was first elected to the Burien City Council in 2019 and is currently serving his second term as Mayor.
