Kiana Sears

Kiana Maria Sears is an incumbent Democratic State Senator for Arizona's 9th district, having assumed office on March 31, 2025, after being appointed to fill a vacancy. Born in New Orleans and educated at Arizona State University, she is a longtime Mesa resident and community leader. With decades of experience in government, education, and local advocacy, she previously served nearly ten years on the Mesa Public Schools Governing Board.
