Kim James

Kim James is a Democratic candidate for the Utah House of Representatives, District 8, in the 2026 election. With a background as clergy, she served 40 years as a pastor advocating for social justice. She earned a high school diploma from Libby High School and holds degrees from Northwest Nazarene College (1982), Nazarene Theological Seminary (1984), and the Iliff School of Theology (1990). James is running to bring faithful leadership to Utah, motivated by a belief that current leaders are dismantling democracy. Her platform focuses on fighting for affordability, environmental health, and ensuring a government that respects the will of the people, aiming to champion policies that improve life for Utah families.
