Kimberly Hardy

Dr. Kimberly Hardy is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Fayetteville State University. Raised by a police officer and a federal agent, she developed a strong sense of service from a young age. She earned her bachelor's degree from Morgan State University, a master's in social work from Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. in social work from Morgan State University. Her professional experience includes previous positions as an assistant professor at the University of Saint Joseph and the University of Connecticut. Before her academic career, she worked as a school social worker. Hardy has also been active in the North Carolina Democratic Party, serving as its second vice chair. She previously ran for the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2020 and 2022.
