Kris Heiser

Kris Heiser, a Republican, has served as the State's Attorney for Worcester County, Maryland, since January 7, 2019. Her legal career began after being admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2007, leading to her role as Assistant State's Attorney for Worcester County from 2008 to 2011 and then for Wicomico County from 2011 to 2018. Heiser is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She is an active member of the Maryland State's Attorneys' Association and the Worcester County Bar Association. Her focus is on protecting the innocent and ensuring offender accountability.
