Kris J. Felthousen

Kris J. Felthousen has been a criminal defense attorney on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for over 29 years. He graduated from Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 1984. He attended the University of Virginia on a full NCAA athletic scholarship for wrestling, where he made the Dean's List multiple times. Felthousen earned his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1992 and was licensed to practice in North Carolina the same year. He has been a partner at several law firms and opened his own office in 2009. He is a past President of the NC First Judicial District Bar Association and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He resides on the Outer Banks with his wife and four children.
