He is the owner and operator of Club One Casino in Fresno and serves as president of the California Gaming Association. He previously founded an investment banking firm and served as chairman of Steinway Musical Instruments. Kirkland also founded the animal welfare non-profit Kirkland Foundation and serves as board chair of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
